Follow the tales of two furry boys as they grow up together and share not only the normal bumps and bruises of becoming adult Talking Animals in a mostly human world but also deal with a deadly invisible world where dark evils lurk, seeking to destroy them both and all they love.
Caedmon "C. B." Brennan

Caedmon, or C. B. as he prefers to be called, is a Philadelphia-born and bred wolf boy, but he moved to Charleston, SC when his father opened a charter fishing business in the little Southern city. Caedmon is a quiet boy. He lacks confidence and is very bashful and unsure of himself. He is very frightened of humans. He has had to deal with the recent death of his mother in a terrible car accident on I-26 outside of Charleston, which has closed off a lot of his heart to others. It seems his only pleasure comes from soccer, listening to indie and alternative rock on his prized iPod, and reading stories and poems by his favorite author, Edgar Allan Poe. Finding out about his past only adds to his mounting difficulties. His bond with his best friend, Rory is unbreakable. Ever since the two boys met when they were both five-years-old, it's almost like they are brothers. This almost-family-like bond with Rory and C. B.'s budding teenage romance with a young she-wolf named Brianna might be the only things that keep him from closing off, completely leaving him vulnerable to the evil plottings of an ancient wizard that has vowed to kill the entire Brennan clan. He has one sister named Shannon, a feisty, beach-loving little she-wolf.

Marching to the beat of his own Steampunk drummer, this wizarding teen fox boy does not care what the other kids in his school think (well, almost). Born and bred right in Downtown Charleston, SC, all this highly socialable, tall, lanky fox kit cares about is adventure and his very best friend, C. B. and not always in that order. He and the boy wolf have been an inseperable pair since the age of five. Although they have very separate interests and very differing personalities, both boys find a common ground in soccer, competing against each other in footraces, and their almost brotherly bond with each other. In fact, Rory makes no bones about it, that C. B. is his brother and messing with him is a sure fire way to get into a fight with the fox. Highly imaginative and very talkative, this wanabe hero of a time that never really happened carries his Neo-Victorian, clockwork sci-fi fantasy realm into the real world. He's going to need all of his skills, wiliness, and heroics to protect the boy wolf that has been like a fellow kit to him since they first met in a Charleston park when they were just Kindergartners. Rory is an only child as his mother is unable to have any more children.
