Patrick Robbins- Writer and Illustrator
Patrick Robbins was born in Hampton, VA in January of 1968 and is currently based in the quiet foothills near Virginia's Blue Ridge Mountains. He earned his BFA in Communication Arts from Virginia Commonwealth University in 1990 and his MA in Comunication from Regent University in 1993. Trained as a multi-disciplined artist with over two decades of experience as a freelancer, he has drawn for many private commissions, published several illustrations, and has taught art to students of all ages. He specializes in fantasy art, anthropomorphic animal art, cartooning, caricatures, graphic design, and illustration. His biggest diversions outside of art and writing are soccer and Disney pin-trading. Patrick resides in historic Fluvanna County with his wife, Kelly and his small menagerie of dogs, cats, and hand-raised tropical birds. His daughter, Madison is a U. S. Navy veteran and is currently pursuing a degree in law.
Current freelance services available
All year around, Patrick Robbins is available to draw caricatures for your function's guests. Caricatures are done on 14" x 17" 40 lb. acid-free paper with black permanent markers. They take only two to three minutes per guest (color caricatures or caricatures with the small cartoon bodies add a bit more time, so they should be pre-arranged as part of the total menu). Hourly rates are $75.00 to $100/hour with a three-hour minimum. Any event or function is fair game, including wedding receptions, After-Prom parties, Bar or Bat Mitzvah, business grand-opening, retirement parties, large or small birthday parties, large corporate soiree, carnivals, any kind of event, big or small. Terms of Service- Hourly rates are $75.00 to $100/hour with a three-hour minimum. Please book, at least two weeks prior to your event to guarantee availability. Payment is rendered upon completion of the event on the day of the event unless prior arrangements have been set. Please make all checks or money orders payable to Patrick Robbins. Any event that requires travel out of the Commonwealth of Virginia will require a surcharge of $150.00 to cover expenses. This surcharge is required upfront before artist is to be available on site.
